IXWebhosting Review
Latest update: IXWebhosting is an up and coming webhosting company to watch out.
Provides both Windows and Linux web hosting. It's unique feature is their dedicated IP offering.
Please note that if you are planning to install Wordpress on their server, there is no Fantastico one-click function available. The route to installing Wordpress is not straightforward like most cpanel webhosting companies. In fact, you can only install wordpress on their subfolder through their own unique one-click function. Upon further prompting, they informed me that installation of Wordpress on their function in the root folder is not allowed.
Though I know how to manually install Wordpress, I find it a chore and time-consuming to do so. So I asked for a refund because of this. They reverted asking why and I explained what I had to go through and told them plainly I do not have the time to do manual installation. Then came the reply that they will install for me! Apart from this, I have no other issues with IXWebhosting.
Company Background
Like most small business hosting provider, IXWebhosting have a
24/7 toll-free line for support, live chat and a ticketing system in place. It's important for any company
to grow but you can tell where the emphasis of a company is just looking at the Contact Us page.
We are disappointed that it uses only one single telephone number for its support, billing,
and sales. Support staff are largely based in India, with a smaller pocket of support from Ukraine, Austria
and US. Through a live chat, we were told they have approximately 100 support staff on duty in a single shift
supporting their customers. We cannot confirm this information but we are a little bit skeptical. It's live chat is available 24/7 though. Recently we have had the opportunity to deal with them directly
and the overall experience has been great!
